Promoted as a no scam EA, Advanced Hedge is an MT5 tool that uses the hedging strategy. The FX robot works on currency pairs, indices, metals, and Crypto. As a fully automated FX EA, this software claims to use a special system for recovering the losses during trading.
Ho Tuan Thang is the developer of this ATS. He is from Vietnam and has developed 6 products and 7 signals. To contact the developer, you can message through the MQL5 site or use the telegram channel link provided on the MQL5 site. Other products by the developer include Advanced Fibo Levels, Advanced Bollinger, and more.
As per the developer, this expert advisor does not use indicators for identifying the right entries for trades. Instead, it uses math logic. Thang claims that he has tested the system from 2019 under different market conditions and provides set files of diverse types.
The software is not sensitive to slippage and spread. For the settings, you can either use the default settings or the set files the developer provides. We could find very minimal details on the features of the FX EA which makes us doubt the reliability of the software.
Trading strategies and currency pairs
The main currency pairs this MT5 tool works on are the EURUSD and the GBPUSD pairs using the M15 timeframe. A minimum deposit of $3000 is recommended while you can use any reputed broker for the EA. Other than mentioning that this EA uses the hedging approach, the developer does not explain the approach, which is disappointing.
A backtesting report done from 2019 to 2021 on the EURUSD pair is shown by the developer. From the strategy tester report, we can see a total net profit of 1316.42 is present for the account with a profit factor of 1.42 and profitability of 93.17%. The maximum drawdown is 32.40% for a total number of 5098 trades. The profit recorded is very low while the drawdown is high indicating the approach used is not effective.
Advanced Hedge trading statistics
The developer displays a live signal for this EA which we suspect is not live now. The link given for the live signal shows no results. From the screenshot the developer provides, we can see the account has been live for 5 weeks with a growth of 1272% and uses the leverage of 1:500. For an initial deposit of $1608, the system has generated a profit of $18507.63. The profit factor for the system is 2.99. We are unable to find other details like the drawdown from the provided info.
We prefer trading results verified by sites like myfxbook, FXBlue, and FXStat as they reveal more details that provide proper insight into the EA. The absence of a proven track record makes us suspect the dependability of the FX EA.
Pricing and refund
As per the MQL5 site info, this MT5 tool costs $49 which the developer mentions is only for two more sales. Further 3 copies out of 10 are left at the cost of $149. Once these copies are sold, the price of the product is $249. A free demo is also present.
The pricing is a bit unusual and at $49 the cost is very cheap. But the original price of $249 is expensive when compared to similar products available on the site and elsewhere. Furthermore, the vendor does not offer a money-back guarantee which makes us suspect that the product is not reliable.
What else you should know about Advanced Hedge
We found 6 reviews for this EA on the MQL5 site. While the reviews are positive, they do not provide much insight into the system as the users have bought the system recently. So, it is not possible to assess the performance from the reviews. Furthermore, we prefer reviews from reputed third-party sites like Forexpeacearmy, Trustpilot, etc. as they provide unbiased feedback.
