Canadian investment manager CI Global Asset Management has launched two exchange-traded funds tracking firms operating in blockchain and the ecosystem, according to a Coindesk report.
Ci launched the CI Galaxy Blockchain ETF and the CI Galaxy Metaverse ETF, which tracks firms involved in the development of blockchain technologies, and firms operating in and developing the blockchain ecosystem.
The Metaverse ETF looks into companies involved in the interactions, enablement and connectivity to the metaverse. It includes firms involved in augmented and virtual reality, gaming , payments, and social media.
Both funds will track indexes established by Alerian, in line with its partnership with Galaxy Digital Holdings, They both will have an annual management fee of 50 basis points.
CI Executive Vice President Roy Ratnavel noted that blockchain and the metaverse are two “extraordinarily” powerful trends expected to impact society and business. CGAA is up 0.94%, while GLXY is up 1.53%.
