EV company Fisker Inc. successfully produced 1,022 units of its popular Fisker Ocean SUVs in Austria during the second quarter. The vehicles were intended for both customers and marketing/engineering purposes. Despite certain challenges faced by a few suppliers in ramping up production, Fisker managed to surpass its targeted assembly rate of 80 units per day by the end of June. As a result, the company now anticipates that vehicle production will exceed 1,400 units in early July.
Investing in Additional Battery Pack Capacity
To ensure a smooth manufacturing timeline throughout the year and accommodate higher volumes than initially expected for next year, Fisker is investing in additional battery pack capacity. This strategic move will not only protect the compressed production schedule but also support the company’s growth plans for the future.
Market Performance
In terms of the stock market, Fisker Inc.’s stock fell 1.9% premarket and is currently down 21% for the year. In contrast, the S&P 500 has experienced a 15% increase in value during the same period.
Fisker Inc. continues to set new milestones in the EV industry with its commitment to producing sustainable and high-performance vehicles.
