Italian stock exchange Borsa Italiana lists a “Bitcoin-thematic” ETF by Melanion Capital, intensifying Bitcoin exposure, according to a report by CoinTelegraph on Tuesday.
Cyril Sabbagh, managing director of Melanion Capital stated that the Melanion BTC Equities Universe UCITS ETF is an equity ETF around stocks in the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
Sabbagh further stated that the Italian Stock Exchange has not approved any spot ETFs but approved their thematic ETF.
The Bitcoin ETF enables savers to get exposure to Bitcoin in their retirement plans due to the UCTIS specification.
Nicolas Bertrand, adviser and ambassador of the Global Blockchain Business Council stated that the Italian investors and traders had an initial interest in trading Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. BTCUSD down -6.00%, ETHUSD down -5.77%
